A Note from Our 2021 Minnesota Made Extravaganza Chair

The American Cancer Society's mission to save lives and reduce cancer mortality is at risk from COVID-19.

  • ACS is the largest, private nonprofit funder of cancer research in the United States. The impact of COVID-19 reduced our ability to fund cancer research by 50 percent in 2020. This is will be our lowest investment this century.

  • Free transportation and lodging programs—including both the Minneapolis and Rochester Hope Lodges—have been paused temporarily to protect vulnerable cancer patients.

Cancer doesn't pause for a pandemic. In all communities, cancer patients and their caregivers need us to forge ahead with our work, including research, patient services, information and resource sharing, education, and advocacy.

We can't allow our progress to be put on hold because of COVID-19. At risk are more and better treatments and discoveries that will improve and save lives. That is why I am serving as the Chair for the 4th annual Minnesota Made Extravaganza led by the CEOs Against Cancer of Minnesota Chapter on Thursday, November 18, 2021.

Because patients need us now more than ever, we, in turn, need you more than ever. And that is why I ask you to consider joining Ernst & Young in sponsoring the event or by making a 100% tax deductible donation. In the face of COVID-19, the American Cancer Society is continuing their lifesaving mission in Minnesota and throughout the nation. Your support will enable us to provide the resources necessary to support cancer patients and communities.

If you are unable to attend the Minnesota Made Extravaganza on November 18 either in person or virtually, you can still support the fight against cancer. Donate quickly and easily here!

On behalf of the American Cancer Society and the CEOs Against Cancer of Minnesota Chapter, thank you for your generous support of this important mission.
